We are a family-owned accommodation located in an area called "Saphan Kwai" north of Ari. This 7-unit residence is newly renovated with free Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, common area with kitchenette, and comfortable working space. A pleasant stay within reach of cafe and restaurant of Ari, nightly local street food, local bars with great vibes, and the amazing Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Our Story

In the 1980's after the post-Vietnam War economic boom, 3 sisters from an Eastern Province of the kingdom decided to pursue their dream of opening a boutique shop in what then was the up-and-coming northern end of Bangkok's core business area.With great success, there were numerous Bangkokian ladies who would frequent the shop to get measured and picked up their tailor-made gowns and dresses. Soon afterwards, with a brilliant idea from their friends, they opened a salon inside the shop. Thus, the shop was becoming a socializing place for many clients from far and near to get their hair and nails done while also working on their outfits.Not only is this the place for clients, family and friends including their children would also gathered here for playtimes and get-togethers. There were countless memories made and friendships forged over the years, many of whom still kept in touch to this day.After many successful years, the shop was closed and turned into a house for family members and friends who decided to move, visit or study in Bangkok. Thereafter, when all of the children are grown up and all of the adults have moved elsewhere, the house was left empty and was only occupied occasionally when family members are in town.Fast forward to 2024, considering the age and conditions of the building, we came up with the idea to renovate it and gave it a new purpose as a residence that is laid-back and comfortable for travelers and locals alike. We wish to offer an opportunity for everyone to experience this part of Bangkok as a local and be fully immersed in this great neighborhood.

Vicinity

The neighborhood of Saphan Kwai is surrounded by a good mix of residential, commercial and office spaces. Within a 1-km radius, you can reach Chatuchak Park and Weekend Market to the north and Ari in the south. It is quieter than the adjacent neighborhoods while still offering great accessibility to them. Also, we've included many places of interest in the google map above.
